Extra Credit Project Mrs. Davison
INDEPENDENT READING BLOG
· Choose two novels to read (your choice, but must be approved by Mrs. Davison)
· Create your own blog on www.blogger.com and set it up according to Mrs. Davison’s instructions.
· Send the link for your blog to Mrs. Davison so that she can add it to the 10H class website.
· Blog while you read! Write an average of one blog post per week from now until the end of the year.
o Your blog entries can vary in style, but your mission is to respond to what you’ve read. You can write your response in prose, poetry, images, video, etc. (be creative!).
· THIS PART IS VERY IMPORTANT: You MUST leave comments on your classmates’ blogs responding to what s/he has written.
For the 3rd Quarter:
Due Dates: Wednesday, April 7th
1. Create your blog and email the link to Mrs. Davison. Make sure to set up your blog so that you only use your first name and do not reveal anything too personal, such as your address or telephone number. You must also go to the Settings and make sure your blog is as private as it can be, while still allowing people to leave comments. The only people who should leave comments are your classmates!
2. Check out the blogs: Here are a few links to blogs students have completed in the past. You can look at them to get ideas for your own one.

3. Write two blog entries.
For the 4th Quarter:
Due Date: Friday, May 7th
1. Your blog should be running well. Mrs. Davison will have been checking in periodically to see that you are writing your posts and leaving comments on other blogs.
2. You should have six posts on 1-2 books you have read.
Due Date: Friday, June 4th
1. You should have a fully functioning blog with ten posts on 2-3 books.
2. You should have left at least one comment on every other blog in the class (of those who choose to participate).
